TOP KENYAN MUSICIAN JAILED FOR NOT PERFORMING ON VALENTINES DAY

A popular Kikuyu secular musician was this morning arraigned before a Kiambu court after he failed to perform his songs at a Kiambu hotel during the Valentine’s day last week despite having been paid part of the money for the day.
John Njagi Macharia popularly known for his maitu (Mother) tune was charged with obtaining money falsely on 2nd and 4th February at riverside hotel in Kiambu from Jimmy Komo received the sum of 28,500 shillings being part of the money to entertain revelers by performing live band music at the said hotel.
He was released a bond worth 30,000 shillings. Hearing of the case is on 24th April 2015.
